The lights, they flicker
with no reason to exist
these souls, they wither
without ever being kissed

no purpose, no meaning.
just clambering in the dark.
these hollow shells, merely being.
without ever leaving a mark.

their voices still hold though
a certain beauty within
yet the darkness continues to grow
to taint them with sin

the hope is gone
one might be inclined to bring it back; to sing
but they know we'll still always be puppets;
Dancers on a String
an ode to Gary Schyman's composure for Bioshock (the first one), which introduced the greatest crazy person IN EXISTENCE; Sander Cohen.

Atlas, Ryan, Atlas, Ryan duh duh duh duh DUH....

time you could find something good on the radio.
Farewell to those two blowhards.

and hello, to an evening, with Sander Cohen!

NOTE: I actually ripped this off of my account from youtube and edited it a bit.

for a link to the song here: [link]

um yeah for my actual comments on it;
so Bioshock is one of my most favorite games ever. It's beautiful in a dark, twisted way; it sends a shiver down your spine, and perverts the vision of life in the 50s(?). The feeling you get while walking through the halls of Rapture (the underwater metropolis that the game is set in), must be similar to being locked in an insane asylum, where all the people who were locked up were released....and have super powers (some of em do...mostly for effect; they aren't extremely powerful....). The story is actually top notch, and has an insane twist near the end....*shiver* greatest game ever imo.....

this fits Bioshock fairly well :)

especially the following stanza:

no purpose, no meaning.
just clambering in the dark.
these hollow shells, merely being.
without ever leaving a mark.

quite the disturbing game but i love it! :D

...I'm actually listening to that song right now. That and Cohen's Masterpiece are my two favorite songs from the game.
Beautiful job.
